This Week… 8/52

I hope you’ve all had a great week, or are slowly waking up on Sunday morning… This week we spent a lot of time playing outside. Winter still has a tiny grip on the weather with a few chilly days here and there but mostly it’s beautifully warm, too warm to be inside.

Last week I showed you a picture of the lavender and the purple colour swatches. Jack liked this activity so much that I have set up another, this time with Grevillea. Last week we did some colour mixing and painting but the purple proved a little difficult (we had to use red, blue and white). This time with just yellow and white I think the experience should be a lot more enjoyable. I might take some pictures and show you how I set up the provocation. I was inspired by something I saw at Jack’s preschool.

We’ve had a jam-packed fun-filled weekend; my husband and I had our first date night in over three years! We really missed that. It was so nice to chat, just the two of us, over a great meal.

We also spent the day at the Montessori Spring Fair. Doesn’t he just make the cutest little tiger ever? Jack was so proud of his tiger face and didn’t want to wash it off at bath time.

Today was Kylie’s son, Caspar’s fifth birthday party. He has recently got a new pen-pal and so I thought I would make him a little letter writing box. I am quite happy with how it turned out, I hope he likes it too.

  1. Beautiful snap shots. I’d love to see more of your color projects. You’ve inspired me to take the boys to the arboretum tomorrow. I’ll take pictures. 🙂
